About Dr GreenTooth
Dr Green Tooth Begins
Hi, I’m the voice behind Dr. Green Tooth.
I’m a former dentist turned software developer, and I care deeply about preventive oral health.
I’ve worked in dental practices. I’ve seen the same problems over and over again.
And here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Most dental problems don't come out of nowhere.
They're predictable. Preventable. And often ignored until they hurt.
As a dentist, I spent a big part of my day fixing things that should never have broken in the first place. Cavities. Gum disease. Root canal infections. Not bad luck — just small habits repeated for years without the right information nor motivation.
The frustrating part?
These problems usually require very little effort to prevent, but in real life dental practice, there’s rarely enough time to explain that properly.
People come in stressed, in pain, or already late.
Prevention — the most important part — gets pushed aside.
At the same time, I noticed something else.
When people don’t get answers at the dentist, they look online.
And what they often find is:
- confusing
- exaggerated
- outdated
- or just wrong
That’s how the idea for Dr. Green Tooth started.
If people are already searching online, why not give them a place where:
- information is accurate
- explanations are simple
- advice is actually usable
- and no one is talked down to
No fear tactics. No miracle cures. No “just trust me” nonsense.
That’s how Dr. Green Tooth was born:
A place where I combine my background as a dentist and my current work as a software developer, to explain oral health the way it should have been explained from the start.
Clear. Practical. Honest.
Sometimes direct. Occasionally sarcastic.
Always evidence-based.
My goal is to give you information that:
- fits into real life
- 12 year olds can understand
- and helps you prevent problems before they turn into appointments, bills, and stress
I also care a lot about providing motivation for you to change the habits.
Because knowing what to do is one thing — actually doing it is another.
And in most cases, small changes made early save you from much bigger problems later.
So no, this site won’t promise perfect teeth forever. But it will help you make better decisions — earlier.
Thanks for being here. And yes — prevention really is less painful than treatment. 🍀
